SafeBoda plans to launch a car hailing service that will be offered under the firm’s SuperApp. The service, dubbed SafeCar, will be positioned to offer clients a hassle-free service that is dependable and safe. This is what we know about the service so far.
Driver Centered
According to officials from SafeBoda, SafeCar will be driver-centric by charging drivers less commission for each trip and giving them flexible payout terms. These incentives will ensure that drivers offer riders a service that is high quality and competes favorably with what is currently offered on the market.
How to Order a SafeCar
Ordering a SafeCar will be via the SafeBoda Super app, although currently this option is only available to Beta testers through the SafeBoda Super app. The service will be available to standard customers after the service is officially launched. However, existing SafeBoda users will have to update their apps for the new service to be reflected on the Super app interface.
The Beta testing phase is expected to continue throughout August, with the official launch of the SafeCar service slated for early September 2022.
How to Sign Up as a Driver
SafeBoda has put in place a list of requirements all potential drivers need to fulfill to be eligible.
1.The driver must be at least 21 years old.
2.The driver should have at least 3 years of driving experience.
3.The driver should possess a valid driving license.
4.The driver should have a 4-door car with valid insurance.
Potential drivers can fill out a form on SafeBoda’s online onboarding process which allows them to submit the necessary documents. However, they will be required to go to the SafeBoda Academy to have their vehicles inspected before their account can be activated.SafeBoda has metamorphosed into a firm that offers a variety of services via its Super app. Some of these include facilitating merchant payments, boda boda transportation, and now a car ride hailing feature.Safeboda officials said “This is an opportunity for drivers to provide a much-needed transportation service to customers who don’t have access to a car when they need to go somewhere or don’t want to deal with the hassles of driving themselves”.
