A recent announcement shows that Helpware, a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company based in America, is expanding into Kampala, Uganda. The move will create job opportunities for Ugandans, as the firm has carried out a preliminary recruitment exercise to discover fresh talent that will be hired in customer support roles. The company is conducting a preliminary recruitment process to find talented candidates to provide customer support services.
The firm’s current focus centres on hiring more than 100 Customer Support Representatives (CSRs), who should be able to offer a customer experience using channels such as email, phone, and chat in English, French and Kiswahili. The firm will have more opportunities to hire back-office support and technical staff as the firm’s operations expand to serve more clients.
The criteria the firm uses for hiring new team members is that they should be professional, polite, and empathetic while offering a high level of customer service.

The firm made an official launch of its operations through a job fair at Makerere University’s School of Computing and Information Technology in a bid to attract high calibre talent from universities.
