SafeBoda, Uganda’s leading motorbike ride-hailing startup, has unveiled ‘Plus Boda’ a ride option offering more choices to users. The new service offers clients a wider selection of both affordable and premium transportation options while giving SafeBoda’s rider community a platform to earn more.
The Plus ride option allows customers to indulge in a superior ride experience that incorporates added benefits. The first is access to insurance coverage offered by Liberty General Insurance in the event of an accident. The service also gives clients access to more experienced riders who are clean and offer helmets and hair nets to boost passenger safety. Additionally, these riders observe road safety guidelines and are skilled at using GPS for navigation.
Similarly, SafeBoda has also introduced a more economical ride option dubbed ‘Saver Ride’ Option,” which will bring SafeBoda’s service at a lower price point.
SafeBoda’s Co-Founder and Director Ricky Rapa Thomson, while talking about the new services, said, “We’re thrilled to be launching our Plus and Saver ride options on the SafeBoda app. These new services are an important step towards fulfilling our mission of making transportation safer and more affordable for everyone in Africa at the click of a button.”
Raphael Bisaso, the head of sales, marketing, and distribution at Liberty General Insurance Ltd., was enthusiastic about the partnership, saying, “We’re excited to launch with one of the most innovative companies in Uganda, who have already made taking a boda boda safer in Kampala. We are delighted to partner with SafeBoda to help them take the next step in protecting passengers.”
SafeBoda is committed to offering reliable transportation safely, and the introduction of the Plus Ride option reinforces the company’s dedication to this. Users can download the Safeboda app using both Android and iOS devices to access the ‘Plus Ride” and ‘Saver Ride” options.
