MTN Uganda has been awarded the Fastest Mobile Network in Uganda by Ookla, a global authority in internet testing and analysis. The award was presented to Sylvia Mulinge, MTN’s Chief Executive Officer, during the recent Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The awards is testament to MTN Uganda position as a leader in telecommunications excellence.
The MWC is a global platform for industry leaders to showcase telecommunications innovations and advancements. MTN Uganda’s recognition at this event solidifies its status as a pioneer in the telecommunications sector
Ookla’s analysis comprised millions of speed tests conducted across Uganda in Q3 and Q4 of 2023. The results position MTN as the leader in mobile network performance in Uganda. Commenting on the award, the CEO of MTN Uganda emphasized the company’s commitment to enhancing the its networks to meet the evolving needs of its customer base. “This award is the result of MTN’s unwavering commitment to the nation by investing and consistently upgrading the network to the evolving needs of our customers. We salute the government of Uganda for enabling a predictable investment climate and the unstoppable commitment of our team to deliver the best-in-class network for our customers”
